Why now

A category moving fast. A company moving with it.

Research is changing more in a few years than it did in the previous twenty. It is moving out of long forms and panel portals and into the conversations people already have.

Yazi is building the WhatsApp-native way to do that. Companies and researchers run surveys, AI-moderated interviews and diary studies directly through WhatsApp, and AI helps turn thousands of conversations into something a team can use.

We sit where research, technology, AI and SaaS meet. The category is changing quickly, and we are growing with it.

7 in 10
of our inbound calls now come through referrals from ChatGPT and Claude.
We are increasingly being discovered through AI itself.
25+
countries where Yazi runs research, with clients across continents.
Text, voice, photo, video.
Participants answer the way they already talk. Our job is to make that usable at scale.

Working here

Not a values poster. How we actually work.

  1. 01

    Own things

We're a small team. Good ideas don't need to travel through six layers of approval.

  2. 02

    Build things

We value people who can move from thinking to doing.

  3. 03

    Use AI properly

AI isn't an occasional productivity tool here. It's part of how we research, build, analyse, create and operate.

  4. 04

    Move quickly

Opportunities appear quickly. We want people who can respond without lowering the quality bar.

  5. 05

    Stay curious

Research, technology, AI, behaviour and culture are changing at the same time. Curiosity matters.

How we hire

What happens after you apply?

    Apply

Send us the basics, your CV and tell us why you want to work at Yazi. It takes a few minutes.

  2. 03

    Meet the team

Strong candidates meet the relevant Yazi team members. Expect a real conversation about real work.

  3. 04

    Final conversation

A deeper conversation about the role, expectations and mutual fit.

Before you apply

Questions candidates ask

How do I apply for a job at Yazi?

Open the role you are interested in and select Apply for this role. We ask for your name, email, cellphone number, LinkedIn profile, your CV and a few sentences on why you want to work at Yazi. Some roles add one role-specific question. It takes about five minutes.

Why does Yazi interview candidates on WhatsApp?

Because it is how our product works. Yazi runs research conversations on WhatsApp, so shortlisted candidates answer a short set of questions in the same conversational experience our clients use, in text or voice notes, in their own time.

Do I need a cover letter?

No. Your CV covers your experience. Instead, tell us in a few honest sentences why you want to work at Yazi. For creative roles, a link to work you have made matters more than anything else.

Where are Yazi's roles based?

Current roles are based in Cape Town, South Africa. Yazi runs research in 25+ countries and works with clients across continents, so you will work with teams and markets well beyond Cape Town.

Something interesting is being built here. Come build it.
